Overview

1770Labs (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is an AI-native sales CRM, operated by Nick O'Connor. We operate the 1770labs.xyz website and deliver AI-powered sales tools. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information during our engagements.

Information We Collect

Contact and Account Information

When you engage with 1770Labs, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and business information necessary to deliver our services.

Practice Mapping Data

During practice mapping sessions, we capture information about your brokerage practice including your workflow, judgment rules, matching logic, qualification criteria, communication style, and process documentation. This data is used to build AI tools customized to how you work.

Client and Candidate Data

In the course of delivering intelligence services, you may share candidate information including names, contact details, financial profiles, and franchise preferences. This data is stored securely in your account and used solely to deliver your engagement deliverables (matching reports, scored shortlists, follow-up sequences, etc.). Identifying information (names, emails) is separated from the data sent to AI providers for processing — see “AI-Processed Data” below.

AI-Processed Data

1770Labs uses AI to generate matching reports, candidate assessments, FDD analyses, and other deliverables. Data sent to our AI providers is used solely to produce your deliverables and is not used to train AI models.

PII stripping: Before any data is sent to our AI providers, personally identifiable information is removed. Candidate names and email addresses are never included in AI processing requests. Where a first name is needed to generate personalized communications (e.g., follow-up emails), only the first name is shared — last names and email addresses are always excluded. Financial and preference data used for matching and scoring is processed without any identifying information attached.

FDD Documents

When we analyze Franchise Disclosure Documents as part of your engagement, we extract financial and operational data using AI. FDD analysis is performed to support your candidate matching and due diligence processes.

Communication Data

We retain records of our communications with you (emails, meeting notes, strategy call notes) to maintain continuity across your engagement and improve our services.

How We Use Your Information

  • To map your practice and build custom AI tools around your judgment
  • To deliver engagement deliverables (matching reports, shortlists, follow-up sequences, FDD analyses)
  • To communicate with you about your engagement
  • To improve our intelligence services and methodology
  • To send relevant updates about 1770Labs (you can opt out at any time)

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. Practice mapping data, judgment rules, and engagement deliverables are kept in secure systems with access limited to personnel directly involved in your engagement.

All data sent to AI providers is sanitized and validated before processing. Input fields are length-limited, content is filtered for safety, and AI responses are schema-validated before being used in deliverables. These measures protect against prompt injection and ensure AI outputs conform to expected formats.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to deliver our work:

Anthropic

AI for analysis & deliverables

Vercel

Website hosting

Supabase

Secure data storage

Resend

Email delivery

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the third-party services listed above, solely to deliver our intelligence services. Your practice data, judgment rules, and client information are never shared with other brokers or third parties without your explicit consent.

Aggregated Insights

We may use anonymized, aggregated data from across engagements to improve our methodology and develop industry insights (e.g., common pipeline bottlenecks, typical time-per-task benchmarks). This data is stripped of all identifying information and cannot be traced back to any individual broker or their clients.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access all data we hold about you and your practice
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent for data processing
  • Receive copies of your practice profile, judgment rules, and all deliverables

Data Retention

We retain your data for the duration of your engagement and for 90 days after the engagement ends. After that period, all practice data, candidate information, and engagement deliverables are permanently deleted unless you request otherwise. You can request immediate deletion at any time.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email.
